    I haven't seen this kind of comp B4. Whilst the athletic skills are clearly outstanding, does not this form of martial arts amount to "Man Centred Glory" and therefore go against fundamental principles of Bushido - or everything that Mr Miyagi instructs to Daniel San?

      Mr. Miyagi’s style of karate is not the foundation for all karate. Not sure if your comment was a troll comment. Different styles of karate have always existed:

    You expected jake Presley to follow up after Jackson But no, he passed that Bo staff you didn’t notice onto Reid the older brother With Kensi-Tyler sync following up Followed up with jake who you were expecting to follow up on Jackson Only that Tyler-kensi did sync weapons and Presley did open hand. My head is spinning and I’m about to hit the ground (in a good way)

    This silliness isn't "martial arts," it's acrobatics. These guys would be better off applying for jobs with Circ-de-Soliel. What has happened to the martial art's community that has allowed us to get to this crap and consider it acceptable? Pretty clear to me that not many people are "real students" of the arts for all that term means. Try going back to The Masters and reading things like "The Essence of Karate" (by Gichin Funakoshi, for those who might recognize who that is!). Pretty clear where he might stand (p. 43): "...such acrobatic demonstrations, in every regard, represent nothing more than an avocation and have nothing to do with the real path of martial arts. One could even say that they are nothing to fear" (the best sentence of the quote!). Yuck. There's a reason why--after 45-years in this space--I don't waste my time going to tournaments or demos anymore.

      stop living in the past kid. This is martial arts. It's just combined with the sport called tricking and with a few different styles. There's no such thing as "real path of martial arts". Everyone creates their own path whether it's fighting or doing creative forms. Keep in mind these guys didn't start off with xtreme martial arts. They've done the traditional style as well but enjoy the fun and xtreme stuff.

    Pretty poor performance in terms of actual quality nunchaku techniques, the only three difficult moves in the sequence are the throws but even these are only intermediate level and the free nunchaku is closed on two, with the the third throw spare nunchaku being almost stationary, making the throws a lot easier to perform. The rest are simple clutches performed quickly. Overall pretty easy and nothing original. She might get better though.

    Literally, nothing has changed in the last 15 plus years with this stuff. It's all XMA now and it's dominated the shows since it came on the scene with Mike Chat. This guy is using the same routine that Matt Emig used back in the day. It's like watching EVERYBODY use the same moves and just see who can do it without messing up..

    • @VaizardDaishi
      @VaizardDaishi 2 роки тому

      Yeah, I get that. I'd at least mix in some traditional movements to give myself the edge. The problem with XMA is people try to make it so complex, instead of making simple movements that are complex in theory

    This young Lady's nunchaku technique is very impressive. It takes a normal human being a life time(at least 20years) to master these nunchaku technique, but it took Sammy Smith less than six years to master these nunchaku technique. My statement is based on my Marshall art experience because I,myself,have spent almost ten years to practice karate and nunchaku. It's very hard and time- consuming to get to the top level. This lady Sammy Smith already achieved her nunchaku elite level at age nineteen years old. VERY IMPRESSIVE
